Car Accident now Strange humming and slight rattle

I recently got into a car accident, and now there is a strange humming coming from my engine bay and a slight rattle. i think it may be a pulley or belt, but im not sure. i lost control in the rain, ran up a curb, took out a stop sign, and hit a tree. (****ed up i know >X[ ) i blew out both front tires, bent my fan, and put a hole in my radiator. i replaced the radiator, fan, and tires, and now there is this humming. it gets louder as i get faster, but it isnt from anything rubbing on my tires. its freaking me out and i dont know where and what its coming from. any and all help will be immensely appreciated. much thanks in advance.

oh, and when its humming, i can feel a vibration in the gas pedal.

I'm thinking it could be transmission...does it hum when sitting still with just the motor running?

If the fan got damaged, maybe the colision put a slight bend in the water pump shaft causing pressure on the interior bearing in the pump. Is the hum or vibration in the car when just in park, or in gear, or when car moving.:hmmm:

Check your strut rob bushings, you may have busted on with the curb contact. The water pump shaft sounds like a good cause as well. You said you got new tires right, do you know if you id any damage to either one of the rims from hitting the curb?

A good way to check the water pump, or any number of other spots where you think a motor might be making an odd noise, is to use a broomstick. Put one end near what you want to check, (safely away from belts and other moving objects) and hold the other end up to your ear. You can really pinpoint a lot of noise this way. Can tell you when bearings might be going in accessories, lifter and rocker noise, etc.

If you bent the fan, maybe the pulley got whacked out of shape. See if that thing still runs concentrically ... take the belt off, turn it by hand, checking it against something used as a reference.

To answer the first question:it hums sometimes when sitting still and it gets louder if I raise the rpms by depressing the pedal while in park and in gear.

Next: I didn't see any visible damage on either of the rims, but I will give it another look.

as for the pulley: i can see a slight wobble (Very slight, it's just not as perfect as the other pulleys) with the crankshaft pulley, and the belt running from the alt. Pulley to crankshaft pulley is showing wear and glazing on the edge. It's just beginning to show it's going to fray (I think. I'll have to keep looking at it to see if the wear is advancing) I'll give that broomstick thing a try tomorrow morning.

the rattle is now worse and has a rythm..
