71 maverick what color is ignition wire

    installing a 5.0 efi need to know what color is the ignition wire from switch to silonide is so when iam ready i can crank it up and can i use my 91 mustang silonide or do i just use my stock silonide sorry spelling sucks lol

    Actually it's red with green. The green with red is the alternator light wire from the regulator.
    One note: you have to have power in start AND run on startup. Problem is, if you use the diode protected EFI solenoid, you won't have the capability from that solenoid. The Maverick solenoid allows this function but has no diode protection.

    so which is better to have a diode or no diode and what has everbody used maybe a push botton start.

    When I get home tonight, I scan my diagram for you guys. It makes more sense when you see it instead of just describing it and I can't upload anything at work.
