The one pictured in my avatar that I have been building for, what seems like forever, is a 69.5 key under dash:tiphat:

My project car is a 69.5

My 70 looks better, but has a lot of hidden and not-so-hidden rust issues. The 69.5 is solid, and already has the 5-lug, front disk and V-8 conversions done, and a posi (spool) 8" rear. I'm adding the Grabber hood, spoiler and stripes.

I like the subtle uniqueness of the 69.5's, so I'm leaving the key on the dash, though I may swap in a wider/taller trans tunnel depending on if I go
    Toploader or T-5

So, when all is said and done, I'll have a 69-and-a-half Maverick Grabber.

I swapped in a larger tunnel out of a 72 into my 69.5. It gave me a ton more room for the toploader shifter linkage plus the V-Gate shifter won't be hanging out the side of the tunnl anymore. Another benifit is you can buy a carpet that will actually fit a 72 tunnel :thumbs2:

No one makes a molded carpet for the small 69.5 tunnel. A carpet for a 71 will fit but some owners have said that they have used extra padding over the tunnel and that helped a lot :)

haha, speaking of glass, I just fiberglassed over some rather large sized rust holes in my floor board today, they were under the back seat so not really worried about them. My first time ever using fiberglass. that stuff is super easy.
