I broke it...rear end/axle help

    if your wheel is wobbling and you have eliminated the wheel then the axle is bent and needs to be replaced.
    this is a dial indicator

    well got the axle out, im guessing its bent as well since there was a rubbing noise, probably the axle rubbing the inside of the housing.

    You need to VERIFY it bent before you start throwing parts at it when it may not need anything.

    you will see a wear mark on the axle if it was rubbing on the housing.

    usually when the axle is bent the drum will be rubbing on the backing plate.

    if you want to check the axle now that you have it out, take it to a machinest that has a lathe that is long enough to mount the axle in. they will be able to check it. but from what you have said your axle is bent. just get another. one of the members on here was offering you one earlier. and your is 28 spline not 24 spline
