Hey All - I have recently woken up to how rad the Maverick is. I've got visions of a Coyote swap, a TCI front and rear suspension for a kick ass street/autocross car. Anyone out there doing this sort of thing? Am trying to learn as much as possible before leaping into this. Thanks!

I've talked extensively with TCI about their front ends and have come to the conclusion that it will not fit without significant modifications. If I didnt already have the TCP bolt in stuff then perhaps I would have given it a shot. I already have the rear torque arm and can tell you that it was no cake walk either.

My Cleveland was tight - I can't imagine shoehorning one of those monsters in a Maverick

Too tight for me as well. Theres filling up the engine bay and then theres stuffing it. Gotta relocate the Brake MC, and lift the trans tunnel to get it right. No Thanks. I've been thinking about a SOHC 3-valve though if I HAD to go modular.

I think we've all had that idea, but the cost deters 80% away. Then the Fab work deters 19%. And the 1% left have the funds/skills necessary.

Once these engines start showing up in junkyards more guys will do the swap. Hopefully in 3-5 years. I'd love to have one someday in any car.
