Don't know anything about Second Strike. If it's a multi-strike unit then you get that as a part of the Pert III along with rev limiter. and it will work with any coil. And it's still hidden withing the dist. RS
About 12 years on my Pertronix I now. I have a spare in the tool box that I got cheap "just in case". 'Course my Pertronix just switches the Mallory HyFire ignition box and doesn't really carry a load.
Guess I'm the only one who's ever had a problem with these things. Left me stranded twice in 4 months. Thankfully, still had the points with me to limp it back home both times. Put a MSD 6A box, blaster TFI coil and Duraspark II distributor on the car and have well over 100,000 trouble free miles on them at this point.
