If you go with a mechanical fuel pump, you'll need a timing cover with the fuel pump boss and a two-piece eccentric for the cam. One-piece eccentric is too deep and will hit the timing cover.

That timing cover will give you a place for the dip stick if you haven't solved that issue yet.

Better get an Oil Pressure Guage to set the Trans Pressure with the lokar TV cable.

Not if you use the correct cam sprocket or take .100" off the face of the EFI cam sprocket (which is what I did).

Trust me, it's a LOT simpler to carb it than you think. The fuel pump can be done with a Mr Gasket 12S electric mounted on the frame rail under the back seat, no regulator, one wire to it. It can be spliced into the existing fuel line (which has to be replaced to go EFI) You will need a steel geared distributor to match the roller cam. Then an intake and carb. The oil pan needs to be changed to a front sump. The dipstick hole can be drilled into the 5.0 timing cover and a chrome tube and stick from the local parts house inserted into the hole. If you're running an AOD, then thats going to be a little more involved rigging the TV cable and setting it up. But you're going to have to change the transmission crossmember too and figure out the exhaust anyway.
