302 Temp.

    180 is usually the temp my motor runs but today it got up to 215 but i didnt get a chance to keep it running to see if it would get hotter because i was in a hurry to do something else, to me 215 is a little to warm. is this saying my thermostat is going bad????

    I would check that and the radiator cap first. :)

    215 isn't unusual on a hot day, idling along in traffic.....I've touched 240 in a few cars in the infamous New York traffic without a problem although i wouldn't want it to stay there too long....My 'Vette DD has a secondary electric fan that doesn't come on until 228

    I run 215-220 in 90+ temps w/ AC at highway speeds or when idling long periods at light and rail crossing w/o any issues.
