I had a fellow "Mavericker" drive to my house all the way from Tennessee. He was wanting a hood. The underlip area of his standard hood was all rotted out from rust. The only good hood frame I had was on a Grabber hood. He didn't want a Grabber hood. What was a fellow to do? So, with his help, we cut the edges of all (4) sides of the hood, seperated the hood skin from the frame, and I sold him the frame. So basically....I sold the frame of a Grabber hood to fix a standard hood. Oh yeah.....the grabber hood had a huge hole cut in it for a Harwood style hood scoop. So....now what do I do with the Grabber hood skin? Hmmmm.
The amazing thing about this story is that you didn't have any standard hoods. I keep imagining a warehouse full of parts.
You could give it to me, cause I have a standard spare that I could weld it to and there would be one more Grabber hood for someone.
You could cut the scoops out and save them to graft onto something else, like that F-150 hood that made the rounds awhile back.
Well...I can't throw anything away....so it will stay in the warehouse until it sells or they scrap it after I am long gone.
