A memorable day, I am sure .... don't think that counts as "losing them", so much as just not being able to reach them anymore.

Enough time has passed on this one, that I am sure the yard cycled through this car. I have been dying to mention this one .... for months.

    Going through a mid-70s non-Mav (another Ford) ...

Found an overstuffed biker wallet, the long, flat kind on a chain, under the back seat pad. Drivers license with a picture of a somewhat rough-looking guy on it! Stacks (and I mean 20+ ) of unactivated credit cards, another stack of ones that looked like they were in use, probably 15 or so, no cash (probably already gone ... don't think I was the first guy to find this), and a Home Depot refund card.

I dropped this like it was on fire ... figured he was either an ID thief, was dead, or in jail ... tucked it right back where it was.

I did get some mulch at Home Depot later. :D

    Gonna' resurrect this thread ....

Didn't have to travel to the junkyard this time ....
Two items found in MINE lately ....

    penny_shim_2_original.jpg

This is a penny that I used as a shim under the lower hinge on the driver's door to compensate for the bad job someone at a cut-rate body shop must have done. This was placed there in 1992. Glad to say it is no longer needed. Note how it was crushed by the door.

Then while taking my driver's door apart, I found this ....

    target_badge_original.jpg

I worked at Target as an additional part-time job for the Christmas season of 1996. I vaguely recall losing my badge and needing a new one. I probably did this while repainting the inner door and had the vinyl panel off, and driving the car to work like that. Found it 16 years later ....

Well I'm not gonna find anything in mine as the prev owner removed the entire interior just prior to it being painted...

I could stock a garage on all the tools & other junk I've found in different cars over the years, we called it "trunk treasures"...

One of the more interesting finds was a small stash and rolling papers stuffed in the pouch on the back drivers seat, in, get this, a recently out of service police car(I bought it at auction)... Guess someone managed to get rid of it unnoticed...
