As others have stated there are age restrictions as well as it has to be a pleasure use vehicle.

Wow. That's good to know. Thanks.
Sounds like I can get covered since it lives in the garage and I'm old ;)

One of the few advantages of getting old. BTW, they also have spare parts coverage.

My problem is i don't have a garage. I live in a stilt house and park my car under it. So Hagerty and Grundy won't insure me.

Close in a small area of it Ray, just big enough for your car to fit, then call Hagerty.

Well, Age i cant do much about unfortunately. Turn 19 in 11 days! :D I plan in the next month or two to start making my payments on a new car and then the Maverick will become more of a project/pleasure driver. probably under 2.5k miles a year. Looks like i'll be stuck paying more for insurance till I get a little older though, Unfortunately. After i get the new car I will look into it a little more though.

I know many people with rangers who are happy and I can't picture myself driving anything but a ford. Do you know if a manual is better/worse/same as far as insurance goes?

Nope...It's 26, at 25 you are still under 25 and not over 25 yet. That was the way it was explained to me many years ago
