Is there a few places (parts yards) that have a good selection of Maverick/Comet parts? Also, can anyone tell me if there's an exchange list from other vehicles that will show what parts will interchange with Mavericks? I have a '73 Mav 302 2-door

Click on the forums thread above and go to the technical section. Then click on the parts interchange section.:)

Not really any "go to" place anymore that has tons of Maverick parts cars like there was 20 years ago. Junkyards have been scrapping the cars out due to the high prices being paid for scrap metal.

I know some of the "Pick-A-Parts" have been parting out Mavericks. You have to be quick, because as soon as these cars hit the yard, within days all the good parts are gone.

Your best best is the internet. Parts can be found on this message board, as well as on ebay. The Maverick Comet Club International, Inc. (MCCI) can also be a good source, because in every issue of their bi-monthly, full color newsletter they have a parts vendor souce lisiting people and places selling new and used Maverick/Comet parts. Find out more at: www.MaverickCometClub.org

    ....and welcome aboard!!

Well, I'm in need of an armrest for the driver side door for my 73 Mav. It's the one with the upward swing. Also the metal panel that is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. The one one directly below the light switch. It hides the wiring ang stuff under the dash. View attachment 56171

The only place I ever knew of that had a steady selection of Maverick parts was Memory Lane in Wilmington, CA. If my memory serves correctly, they had 4 early and 1 later Maverick there that were pretty much complete. The only problem were the prices were kind of up there, 2k for a complete shell, 200 per fender... But this wrecking yard had some really great cars.

i relize you are in Florida but the comment on being quick at a self service yard sure rings true even here in wash state i just spent 4 hours searching two yards here in town and can not find a single side mirror that would come close to working. no sports , remote or even a period plain one from any model they were all gone or busted and some of the remote ones were gone with the cables cut (barberians). of the three 76 maverick/comets in these yards there isn't 1 single front fender sending unit for the fuel tank and not a single disk brake part left on any not even the granadas

I just took a car to the scrap yard last week and i don't think they plan on crushing it in the next couple of weeks. So if you want to make a trip to Wakulla county you and i can go see if we can get your parts from it.
