I am planning to order a 9-inch housing for my 1970 from Quick Performance. Anybody have an opinion of them?

Also, does anyone have the required measurements already done (overall width, spring pad angle, etc)? I expected to easily find them in the forum somewhere, but have not been able to. I am staying with the stock width and spring location. I plan to measure myself, but would like the warm fuzzy of double checking them against the correct answers.

    Thanks in advance.

I bought a trac-lok and bearing kit from them. Great company to work with.

Great to hear, maverick1970, they seem like a good company and their prices are very reasonable.

Well, I did the measurements of my original rear end.

For the axle flange to axle flange I got 56 1/2" which agrees with many sources on the net.

But for spring perch center to center distance, the sources I can find say 43 1/2" with a few saying 43 3/4" or even 43 7/8". However, I measure mine at an even 43". I have seen a number of sources suggesting rear-ends can interchange between certain vehicles (e.g. Lincoln Versailles) and Mavericks without specifying what year maverick. Are these sources wrong in that they don't apply to a 1970, or is a 1/2" difference in perch to perch distance acceptable, or should I doubt my measurement (I did, but I have re-checked it many times now).

Next, for the angle of the spring perches I am getting 4 degrees.

Can anyone verify or dispute my measurements?
