I have msd streetfire wires that are the straight ones and the old stock 45 degrees wires I can't seem to get any on the driver side, is there a special one...? Im out in the shop fighting it if anyone has a answer please let me know! Thanks
I used a universal Accel kit and trimmed away some of the plug boot. That, angling your hand the right way with the correct amount of cussing and you should get them on.
these are what i run http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACC-7054/ these have a lifetime warranty and summit is really good about honoring the warranty. these were recommended to me by a race team that did a bunch of dyno testing on plug wires and they made the best power. they fit my 6901s with out any problems
Pretty expensive but if it has that warranty.. That's great, got a pic of yours installed? I can't believe the difficulty of the driver side, especially #6.. just doesn't make sense.. Guess my plug boots were a 70 dollar waste if I have to switch to 45 degree plugs too eh
I am using the MSD 8.5 wires with multi angle boots and have had good luck with them. I do like the Accel 300+ though. You could always undo the motor mount on the drivers side and lift the engine a little, I also found it is easier if the valve covers are off. If you put a little dielectric grease on the inside of the boots they slide on easier
Well I tried accel 45* and 90* and just came back with Taylor 135* and tried msd straights.. Closest I got was with the 90s all went on but no way it would go on #6 I tried for 45mins.. As well did my brother
took a couple pics to show the lack of clearance..i am running RHS heads. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/802/img1186b.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/515/img1187z.jpg/ this one here is the pass side pic- tons of clearance to put any plug wire on it. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/72/img1188r.jpg/
