Looking for wiring for battery cut off

    The car is a 71 comet with the 3G alternator upgrade already done. I'm looking for the wiring for the NHRA approved battery cut off switch. There are too many inconsistencies online on the wiring. If you've done this please post the wiring diagram. Thanks

    get a a witch at harbor freight about 8 bucks . wire it into the ground cable

    I should have mentioned I purchase a batery relocation kit from Taylor and a moroso 2 pole switch that is mounted on the light panel.

    harbor freight switches are plastic and that wont pass nhra specs.
    hooking it into the ground wont shut the motor off when you turn off the switch. the alt will still have a complete circuit and keep every running.

    i wired mine with a 8 gauge wire going from the big post on the alt going directly to the + post on the battery. then i ran a battery cable to the switch then the switch up to the big lug on the starter solenoid.
