Anyone have a measurement for how tall the brake pedal should be on a 69.5 Maverick?

Manual or auto trans, power or manual brakes? I have an auto manual pedal, be glad to measure it for you. Off the floor, I think that depends on the mc and rod, unless you get an adjustable one.

It was an automatic, manual drum brake car. It's now an automatic manual disc brake car. Tried 2 different pushrods from the pedal to the master cyl. They both seem too long.

Get an adjustable rod from a Mustang site (NPD, Mustangs Unlimited), etc. I have one, works well.

I don't think it matters what your brakes are the pedal from the carpet to the part of the pad where your foot goes is approx 7 1/4". I just went through this myself and I couldn't use an adjustable because I'm using a wilwood mc but if I was using a stock type I would go with what Earl said, that way you can dial it in until you are comfortable and get the proper pedal travel.
