    Hello guys!

    It's been a long time!

I have a question.... I have an 8" differential with 4.11 gear in it. I bought a 3.55 so I can drive my car in the highway, however I would like to have a posi. I saw this one on ebay.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-Ford-28-S...pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

Is any one using this? the price is reasonable compared to a true lock....
I don't know what's the difference? should I go with this?

    Thanks!

I have one of these in my Sprint...From the same seller...No issues with it at all...I will say this though. If you plan to drag race or punish the car on a normal basis...This only a two pinion trac lok and not as strong as a four pinion and may not take to regular beatings for a long time...

According to the shop manual's I have (70-79) the 8 inch posi's were only available as 2 pinion's. Only the 9 inch's (and not all of those) were available with 4 pinion diff's.

8"s never had a posi ever, posi is GM not Ford. Also They're talking about aftermarket units which are available with 4....

Yes, I know, Ford used the name "Traction Lok". And yes, they were available on 8 inch axles. They are listed in several of my price guides for cars that would not have had 9 inch axle applications, like Mustang II's.
Posi, Trac-Lok, Sure Grip, they all do the same thing.
