My name is Pery. Im 18 years old, im from South East Georgia. My dad is an automotive machinist, so naturly I've been raised around cars. They're in my blood. My first car was a 2000 Expdition, I drove it for 2 years, sold it and bought my 2002 Ranger. In November for my 18th birthday my dad started our father-son project, with the purchase of my 1973 Comet. Since November we have done a number of things. First we did a fron end swap with a 1971 Maveick ( I like the tailights from the Comets, but love the fronts of the Maverick). We have started the build of my 331 Stroker. Purchased a C-6 Trans, and B&M Quick Silver Rachet Shifter. Bought of set of Centerline Wheels, Im running skinnys up front, and 15x8s in the rear on Hosier Slicks. We Bought a Lincoln Versailles for the 4-wheel disc brakes and nine inch rear end. We have done the front brakes, but have not done the rear yet. It had the typical rust in the trunk and some in the car. We gutted the inside of the car. Fiberglassed, and welded the holes shut. Its now rock solid! Finished the trunk out in carpet, and have now started on interior, and slowly doing body work. This is a long term project for the two of us, I have really been enjoying it. I look forward to taking it to the track someday. As I said earlir I have an '02 Ranger, and am a member of fordrangerforum.com and love the site, and the people. I found this site and hope that we can all become friends as well. So, hey everybody!
Welcome to the board. Sounds like a nice project. Only thing I might suggest is to find a c4 tranny if you don't have much in the c6. C6 takes more HP and takes more room in the tranny tunnel.
