i have fit a 28x10.5-15 on a 15x8 rim on my car. i had to roll the fender lipps, then push them out further. also a little bit of clearancing on the inner fender well on its lower edges need some persuasion with a hammer.

i have no idea what mini tubing it to the inner frame rails will give you.

wheel backing spacing seems to very on these cars. usually 3.75-4" gets it perfectly centered.

There are several areas of concern. The bump stops will be the first obstacle, then (in no particular order) the springs, the the forward part of the inner tub where it rolls outward from the frame, the rear frame rails and the rest of the tubs. If you were to take all of these back to the forward part of the frame rail like I did, you can get a 325DR in with room to spare. :D My wheels are 15x10 with 5.5 BS, but that will depend on your final axle dimensions. If you don't bother with the rear frame rails, you'll lose 2 of those inches...

My race only Maverick uses 13" wide slicks and I could probably go to 14" wide. My wheels are 15X12 with a negative 6" BS. The rearend is considerably shorter than stock and tubs are large...........but again it's a race car not driven on the street.

15x8 with a 4.5 backspace with 28x9 slicks gets close in the front of the wheelwell, The biggest I think you can fit. I run 29x9's but trimmed the front of the wheel well. how fast do you want to go?

I have the same setup at Bryant. Had to roll the fender lip and it is very close to the springs. But it can be done. As he said backspacing is critical. I actually changed my rear axle to a 9" and it is slightly shorter than stock. So my offset needed to be 3" on the rims. I'm running a 10" wide rim though with 28 x 10.5 slicks.

How are you getting into the 11's? Stock rear suspension? My best time is 12.02 @112 MPH. I have a full tube chassis (Alston) and a 4 link with a 351 C with Boss heads, C6, Dana 60 with 4.11's and a spool.

Not knowing your motor specs it could be as simple as a gear/cam/converter mismatch

what do you have done to that 351c? I have a Boss 302 with a .640 lift roller cam, a c4 with 6400 converter, 5.43 in a 9 inch with caltracs and an 8 point bar with subframe converters, konis, a 29x9 goodyears, and have gone 10.60s@126mph that cleveland should be in the low 10's

Just curious about your car, could you got into a little more detail. You say you have a "full tube chassis"...............how about some pictures. Is the car tubbed and what size tires do you run. The 4.11's sound a little anemic, but I don't know anything about the trans or converter stall.
Would love to see more pictures.

sounds totally plausible to me and something seems off with that combo.

    More details would be good.

I think you should post up your drivetrain setup, no use in running 10.5 slicks when 8 will suffice.

Unless you just want the look.
