    Missouri here.
I am from just south of St. Louis. I work in Sunset Hills. The car is actually kept at a friends garage in St. Louis County.

I was in Missouri 2 times this year.....for 2 days both times....does that count?
1st time to drop a mav off and pick one up
2nd time went to Roberts mini-meet at the Fall Nationals.
From what I have seen of it, sure looks like a beautiful state!

I am in Eureka about 28 miles west of downtown St. Louis. Most noted landmark would be Six Flags over Mid-America.

74MAV: I have seen your car several times at the All-Ford show at McDonald park

I've seen Jim Allen around all the time. looks like yours with black. I think it was him running 10.1 at the track.

McDonald Park as in off Link/Adie I think it is? If so when are they I wouldn't mind going to them cause they are pretty close. I live right off airport exit on 70.
Anyone wouldn't know of a Red mav in area would they? I've seen red one off Midland but looks like their job and never wanted to stop and bother someone while they are working. Looks pretty much stock but doesn't look bad.

I just talked to Jim at one of my last cruises for the year, he brought his down to my neck of the woods. He first seen mine about 6-7 years ago down here. His was primer white then and he really liked my color and the rest is history. His does have more red in it than mine.

He races his 408 stoker, mine is more of a streetmachine than a drag racer although one day I hope to make a pass up at gateway. I did not realize a couple of you guys were so close.

The ford show at Mcdonald park always takes place at end of July. There is also a all Ford show at Sunset Ford in early June every year. I try to hit many of the local shows although I slowed down a little this year.

Easter day show at the Muny is just too busy for me. Last time I went it took over an hour to get out. I would rather be a spectator there. It is impossible to win anyway and I usually got family plans that day.

It really sucks but no matter how good you are it is tuff to beat a nova, chevelle, or camaro and that is the case with many shows. Can't tell you how many times I been beat out by a chevy that wasn't half as clean as mine but I don't let it bother me its all about the fun of showing your car off. Many people I encounter in shows really like the car and there are others who act like I waste good money and talent on a Maverick-- their loss

I try to keep up to date with shows and make many of them locally.

I have done everything myself except paint it. I had mine painted by a local guy who is a good friend. He can get it glass smooth. It is painted very close to the factory burnt orange it was.

The paint on my car is 20 years old. A good friend of mine painted the car.

I'm from Cuba, Missouri. Had a Mav when I was 16. Loved the little car. I bought this 69 1/2 in the rough last year and it's gonna take some time.
