ok so this ebay carpet kit says it is not compatible with a comet... is this true or just an error? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-1973-F...ts=Model:Maverick&hash=item415d566ba2&vxp=mtr i need a solid answer on where to go for my four door comet carpet kit. 10 points to the first person who can give me the information i need. and yes i have read most of the threads on carpet kits.
Convince yourself. That is an ACC carpet. Go to their website and see if the Comet carpet is also part number 1208. And I'm pretty sure you are gonna find a better price than AutoKrafters.
It's interesting, because ACC shows 1208-71 for a 1971 Maverick 4-door and 1209-71 for a 1971 Comet 4-door. Two different part numbers does not necessarily mean two different molds, could be just for their own inventory, etc. One could send an email or make a phone call to verify. Or just order it and see how it fits.
10 points to both a yas. looks like im going with stock interiors. best price and the most clearly represented
I've worked in several warehouses and many times they have the same part with different part numbers, to track how many of each they sell for a specific market they assign different numbers. That's an easy way to tell how many they're selling for mavericks versus comets. I'm really glad that Hot Wheels does that, that way they were able to see that us maverick guys were buying them like crazy. Hence why we're getting so many designs.
