Hi I have a 70 maverick and I found a 75 Granada donor car to do all the disc brake conversion to my Mav, everything went together pretty nice by the only problem I'm finding is the clearance with the master cylinder and the shock tower. Is there a certain stand off bracket, master cylinder, or something so it will fit in there? I know I can run manual disk brakes but after all this work I'd prefer power brakes. thanks - Nate. also would it work if I jus bought a brand new master cylinder for a newer maverick or a mini booster??

DO you need to swap in the power disc pedal assembly to match up with the booster?

    Welcome in Cali!
I did the disc upgrade on my 72 Comet Quad Door and used a 74 Granada manual master cylinder..Raybestos from Napa. It really stops good.. I don't regret going manual, but if you have a lady friend drive it or someone light and weak.. then I can understand going power. And that booster is sooooo huge.

The brake pedals are different for the power brakes. I don't know what exactly.

The pedal pivot angle matches that of the offset bracket. The power unit is significantly different than the manual.

i have been looking at the power brake issue lately. there are 2 other threads out now one just asks for pics of the stock pedal hanger and i just looked at my own. the stock hanger has the support rod for the pedal at a angle to match the angle on the master cylinder. the other thread is for power brake conversion in a 74 comet and they bought a unit that bolts at a right angle to the fire wall and misses the shock tower then if need be you could have a clutch set up or maybe keep your original pedal hanger. i am not prepared for it yet but it is something i want to keep a eye on as i may need it in the future.
