I'll be there all weekend (10/5-10/7). Anyone else going? Should be a great weekend to get lots of Auto-X practice. I found an opportunity today to appease the Auto-X Gods ahead of this weekends GoodGuys event. I found this guy on the side of the interstate facing a most certain thrashing by mowing tractor. He has agreed to show me the ways of the course and avoid his compatriots. I call it Cone CARma.
You can use that one to replace the one that you hit and drag under your car during the autocross. Maybe you should go try and find a couple more. You'll most likely need them.
Alright Wise Guy. Why dont you come over here and help me clean up this mess. For those that do not know... I had a bit of an over heating problem.
Day 1 of 3 is in the books. My fastest time is 1:03:227. Still lots of room to improve. the car is handling much better than last time. Just need to get used to it and learn how to take advantage of my newly found traction.
Did better today than yesterday. Prob more my driving catching up to the car than anything though. Dropped my time to a 1:01:91. Tomorrow will be another day. I'll be able to get lots of practice runs.
Last day is in the books. Bested my time by another .2" for a weekend best of 1:01:7. It was my last run of the weekend. I got 4th in the street machine class. 2nd thru 4th were all within 10ths of a second of each other. March cant get here soon enough. Theres lots of room for improvement. I know a 0:59 is well within reach. Just gonna take some practice and tuning.
Thanks Dave. There's a couple photos floating around the web Im sure as people kept walking up telling me they got a great pic of my car. I have nothing in my possession yet though. I tasked a friend with taking a video of one of the runs. As soon as he uploads it, Ill get it out there.
