Power steering control valve.

    73 Maverick / 2000 Harley Low Rider
    My power steering control valve is leaking around the ball stud. Is it difficult to rebuild these or would it be less of a headache to send it off to have it rebuilt? I know the cost of a new one is high and even a remanufactured is high as well.

    Way back in the 90's...I had the local garage rebuild mine in my '68 Mustang. Dove the car to the shop and picked it up the next day...didn't get my hands dirty.

    Well I dunno, but I could tell you next spring as I'm adding P/S to my '69 Cobra Jet Fairlane and am rebuilding the valve myself...

    yeah they are easy to rebuild about a month before my 77 died i rebuilt it and it was working great.
