72 maverick tail light question

hey everyone, i have 1972 maverick and i have a question about the tail lights. Are the 72 tail lights different than any other year? ive noticed other mavericks have a solid red light on each side and then the reverse lights but mine has the long red tail light, then the white reverse light and then another long red light on each side. And i have yet to see another maverick like it

 

Sounds like someone swapped in Bobcat tail lights, if they look like this:

I also have Bobcat taillights and like them better than the stock Maverick ones.
