zoojon, A bunch of us GA guys (three in metro Atlanta) are going to Moultrie Swap Meet this Saturday. Want to go with us?
Well if all goes well this weekend the driver's side floor board should be done, carb tuned, seat bracket made and Mav back on the road...that only leaves the passenger side (Hurricanes delayed me!!) But my dad waited until last minute to schedule hotel rooms so we're not going to make it for the weekend. I'm planning on being there Saturday (without the Mav)...... but I won't know for sure until Sat
Sorry for the late reply. I couldn't get on the board for a few days. It wouldn't open the page. I'm not sure when I['ll be there but I'll try ad find you guys in Daytona. How was Moultrie?
bugs are dead. she's running strong. i will be there friday - sunday. look for the dark green 4 dr grabber wanna be.
the sound and power difference is AMMMMAAAAAZZZING!!!!!!!! this car will now hual --- the way it was supposed too. the only problem i ran into was the engine shop did not use hardened push rods when they rebuilt it and within 1/4 mile i had to shut it down and have it towed to there shop. to their credit they had the problem fixed by 8:30 saturday morning. with the edelbrock heads they use guide plates and the stock rods simply wore through on those plates then turned themselves into s shapes. i was NOT happy. but it all worked out well. as for the get up and go factor i am still babying it to break it in but lets just say i walked away from a 2004 g.t. mustang at 3/4 throttle on the way to church sunday. the sound this combo makes does make it a little harder to pull off the sleeper image i am trying for. people tend to look when i pass now. tooo cool. i have waited 8 years for an engine like this. i have a great wife who occationally indulges my dreams.
