Changing out the original bushings on my 76 Comet, the spring perch rubber is all chewed up. Im looking for replacement perches, but the parts stores at first didn't know what I meant, then didn't know what it was called when I brought it in, then told me there's no way they'd have it. Hard to find info, but I know there's lots of resources for mustangs. I've read that I might be able to hunt for perches for a 68-73 Mustang and have more luck, is that true? And are there any other vehicles that share the same part? Any other name for the perches? Maybe they can get them and just don't know what to look for in their list. I'm trying to avoid making internet purchases. Anyone have any tips?

Any 60 through 80 Ford with coil spring sitting on top of the upper control arm will fit, Falcon, Mustang, Fairlane, Maverick, early Granada. Some people call the spring perch a spring saddle

Thanks! I managed found a local guy in town who imports parts for 64 1/2 - 73 Mustangs, and he also ships anywhere in Canada. He has alot of stock. Cost me $35 each. http://www.classicmustang.ca/
