Hello, I will be installing a 1968 9 inch with 3.25 gears out of a 1968 Van. Will I be able to use my 1972 u-joints or will I need a special u-joint to match the driveshaft and 9 inch yoke?

    Thanks:huh:

It's probly got a 1310 u joint like the maverick but the yoke will be longer on a 9" so you may have to get the driveshaft cut for it , im sure your aware it will have to be narrowed and the brakes changed

9 inch rears came with 1310, 1330 and 1350 yokes. Any of which there's a combination U joint out there to mate to your driveshaft.

Does your friend know that his '66 Mustang 9" housing is a K-code housing and it's worth $1,000+ bare? Also the axle tubes are smaller diameter than the Maverick. Your spring plates and U-bolts won't swap out with this housing.

Not necessarily. I pulled one from under a 66 that originally came from a 57 Ford. At this point in time, any Mustang could have anything under it.
