is there any difference between maverick and mustang rear brake lines? i need to replace the whole thing instead of replacing a section here and a section there, thinking about ordering this on payday https://www.mustangsunlimited.com/i...+&+Tools&SubSubCategory=Lines&CatKey=EMUSTANG
I doubt it's a direct swap. The Mustang is wider and longer than a Maverick. Also a Mustang is a Mustang…not a Maverick
being that its just the axle section i need woulndt it work anyway? if its made for an 8inch axle it should work right?
Might be a little long, since Mustangs used a wider rearend, but with enough bending, anything is possible...then you may as well just make your own. If you have the tools...
If you can make your own, that will be the easiest and cheapest. As for Right Stuff, they are a great company to work with but their web site severly lacks postings for all the things they make, including their line of Maverick parts. Anyone that needs lines from them, best to just call and tell them what you need. They can make it all.
if i make my own can i use this stuff? http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/635800/10002/-1?parentProductId=2111534
Why spend $50 for 25 feet of tubing when you only need 5 or 6 feet? You can buy pre-made sections of brake lines from any parts store for around $15 and it will come already flared and with new fittings installed.
brake lines I love to bend lines part of my trade But Right Stuff makes the best fitting lines out there and they have all the wire wrap in the right places. I have used Fine Lines as well there stuff is very competive to Right Stuff's. The brake line you show from jeggs is available at your local parts store for much less. The last roll I bought was about 16.00. The thing I found out about the new tube is it doesnt unbend very well, if you ever tried to fix up a bend thats not quite right you enbend one side and start the bend sooner on the other side....I vote for Fine Lines and a job well done!
I've measured rear brake lines with a tape measure (actual soft tape measure like for sewing) and then picked up a line from NAPA in the length I needed. A simple hand held bending tool is only a few bucks at AZ or HF. The next step up
