You cut those out of the Maverick hubcaps, didn't you! I was just looking at my hubcaps, maybe an hour ago, to cut it out and make a grill emblem. But it would be too small.
Looks like the door panel emblems?? Only thing is you need two cars to get a set But they look great. How much is involved in getting them to fit the center caps? Russ
It's currently a prototype ... Door Panel emblem scanned and printed on a color printer. Covered with clear tape and cut to fit. The final version I am going to get printed at Wal-Mart photo center and then laminated. It will be cut to fit and glued in place ...
You could actually have a lens made for that, so it looks really clean and professional. I'm not sure if glass or plexiglass would work better. Good thinking.
Looks absolutely great!!! I was thinking about doing the same thing for my Grant steering wheel. You just got me a little more motivated...thanks.
Yeah I was thinking about a lens and how to make one. Guess I could just cut it out of plexiglass or something. I was also thinking of some sort of clear liquid acrylic that would harden. I gotta check the hobby shop and see what they have.
I wonder if you could use this. It is for wood working but it is epoxy. http://www.woodcraft.com/Woodcraft/product_family.asp?family%5Fid=4140&gift=False&0=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D10000%26Tree%3D%2CDepartments&1=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D1042%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D0%2CFinishes%20%26%20Glues&2=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D5001%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D1%2CEpoxy%20Finishes&Gift=False&mscssid=2BB4258BD3734750BBFB32519078FCF1
Be careful with the epoxy. A guy at work tried to cover pictures with clear epoxy resin (making a new toolbox top) and the heat of the chemical reaction cooked the photographs.
