Well, it is no stretch of the imagination to say that this one is the BEST remaining example of a 70 Grabber in this color. I've seen this car in person. :thumbs2:

Regarding prices ... my uncle special-ordered a loaded 71 Mach 1. It took three months to show up and we all told him he was crazy for spending $4200 on a car. Dark Green with Argent stripes. A new Vette was around $7K at that time.

Doubtful. You could get a new Corvette for 4-grand (maybe $4500) in those days.

I bet you are right. I have the original window sticker for my loaded 72 Grabber, and it was $3787 out the door. I bet that 2 years later, prices went up a bit.

    Beautiful 70 Grabber!

Limited to just the 70 model? I had a 71 Grabber that was originally Pastel Blue.

S code - Ford had several different names but the most common is Champagne Gold Metallic and Medium Gold Metallic. It also had one of the "hippie" names for 1970 called "Good Clean Fawn" :biglaugh:.

Thanks guys for all the positive comments. The car really is a joy to drive and show.
Here is a picture from the 2012 calendar Gene did.

70 Grabbers just look funny without Sport Lamps and the Grabber hood. Not bad mind you, just they look like they're missing something. I guess over the years you associate "Grabber" with Sport lamps and the twin scooped hood.

I really like that color. I'm sure it stands out in a crowd. Much better than boring Red or Grabber blue!:D

When I was a little kid, a woman up the street had a 69 Mach 1 like this (not a CJ). I think that's the same color.
