Im looking to get a new carb. for my maverick come income tax time cause i like to blow my money on my car not save it, and i am not to familiar with carburetors so i need help!
I have a 6 cylinder 250 4.1 liter engine in it with a stock 1 barrel (i think it is a carter) carburetor and i want to get a 2 barrel for a little more power but not 4 barrel cause i like getting miles to the gallon not gallons to the mile, but i have no idea what kind to get and which will fit, and what all i will need to add on a new larger carburetor, any help would be awesome!

750 cfm Holley double pumper??? :D

Welcome new guy, and I am sure someone else besides me will give you better feedback.

    Happy New Year!!!

Actually, that 250 can be "woken up" to be a peppy little engine. You might want to look at head and cam in addition to the new carb.

the fordsix site is dedicated to the ...go on, guess it...ford straight six engines. We often refer guys off to them.

    Lots to learn from them.

But come back to us when you have a screemin' 250 Maverick to brag about!

    Timing

The Ford sixes also like a more radical timing curve. Have the timing come in a little quicker and a little steeper you will feel love.
