First of all Happy to be a new member to this forum.
I am wanting to build an early Maverick Modified Production car a-la Reher-Morrison, Lee Shephard's with small block Chevy motor. I know back in the day we didn't build headers persay we used available models. Does anyone know what header for a chevy might fit the 1970-72 Maverick? Would love to know this to try and cut some cost. Thanks for any responses.

I doubt there are any headers that will fit a Chevy motor in a Maverick. We have enough problems finding ones that fit a Ford motor. Not being nasty or anything but it's the truth. I'm sure you can make some to fit but you are going to need major mods to the front suspension for that motor.:Welcome:

Don, Thanks for the reply, I have raced for many years in Div. 4 and thought of trying this before I copied the Arlen Fadley combo. Thanks again.

:Welcome:To the site and from San Jose.
My Maverick was campaigned as a B/SM car from 79 until the class finished in 81. It had a Boss 302/4spd and now runs a 408/Powerglide but is pretty much the way it was in the old days.
For some of the West Coast guys who don't recognize the name, here is an article on Arlen Fadely, one of the early supporters of SM movement.

For the kind of money Kooks wants you could add a few dollars and have some custom headers made that will your car/engine combo..........IMHO
