I took a fresh look at Mustang II specs and saw nothing about 11 inch rotors being stock on any model including the King Cobra - thought I saw it somewhere years ago :hmmm:

Glad I went the Granada 11 inch route - just couldn't see those 9 inch brakes doing the job :tiphat:

So do you have the part that goes on top of the rail to bolt the upper control arms to? I am curious where you find the parts. I hope to close a deal on a 72 GT tomorrow and it has the same cross member you have in it. There is nothing else though.. I was thinking about calling RNC and asking if I could get a kit without the crossmember..

I am not sure what part you are talking about. I have enough parts to mock up everything out to the spindles, minus the shocks.

I have a line on a set of brakes, calipers, etc to finish the rolling part, but I spent all my savings on this stuff, and need to wait til payday (or income tax). Or maybe if I sell all the other stuff I am pulling out...

I'm thinking that Gene is talking about the pieces that come with the R & C kit that weld to the top of the frame rails to accept the bolted on upper A-Frames and also has the upper mount built in to accept the coil over spring. I know this part comes with the basic cradle kit. Other than the cradle and the top pieces, that all get welded in, everything else should be just bolt on parts :)

Yes that piece. It's also where the adjstment occurs for alignment.

Does the kit use the stock sway bar mounting tabs?

Also, that large front bar under the radiator, that the strut bars hook into (which I currently have the car jacked up on). Does that come off, and if so, should I wait until I get the cross-member installed?

I don't have the DVD instructions, just the basic kit paper instructions, so I may be asking a lot of questions on here. Or purchase the DVD.

It comes off after you get the other in I believe. Frank shows some good pics in a thread where I was asking questions myself..

I need to find Frank's thread. I might be able to use it instead of the instructional DVD.

PM me your address and I'll send you a copy of the DVD.

Most people leave the strut brace on for support and some have removed it. I personally removed mine but replaced it with a modified belly bar to keep support but clean up the look. If you decide to remove it, don't do it until after crossmember is installed.

The kit does not use the stock sway bar mounting tabs. It comes with new tabs to weld on.
