I cleaned up around the car today for a visit with our friend from Germany, Tody (Thomas), on Wednesday while he is in the US. He is arriving tomorrow afternoon and will be staying in Harrisburg Pa. and planning the 2 hour drive up Route 81 to see my project while he is here. Later in the week he is heading out to Las Vegas. Looking forward to meeting up with him :thumbs2:

We left it open ended right up to the last minute if the weather got bad - this morning's forecast didn't look bad but that could change

Fixed my quarter panel problem! I think... Had to split it at the rear and flare it back so meet the valence and weld a plate back in to meet up with the trunk drop.. It's all welded just needs hit with the grinder and it should be good to go, looked awesome before I welded it up..so I hope it didn't warp ;)
Also applied some seam sealer to a few spots so I can por-15 the driver side inner quarter panel, honestly it's the best stuff ever. Welded a small patch in the trunk as well, more work came up so process is slow again.. Hopefully get the tank in and fuel lines ran as Im done welding now (I hope)

Post some pics if you wouldn't mind. I would like to see progress pics since we're diing the same repairs it seems.

Worked on the Comet a little so I can start pulling the engine and transmission out.

Also got a call about my high back bucket seats. Turned out it was the guy that bought the 24,000 mile V8 71 Comet off eBay a couple weeks ago. That car is amazing....one of the best survivors I've seen. He's a very lucky man.

Honestly I try to but it rarely happens.. I get so into it and keep going and going.. All the sudden the repair is done and painted and I have no pics to show it.. Unless it's the finished product... I'm at the stage now Where 95% of the stuff left is sanding.. The other 5% is assembling items such as my dash.
Looks like you spilled stuff today by looking at the rags! What did you get up to?
When will you get out racing?!

I will be racing as soon as I fix all the stuff I should have in the first place.
The pivot pin broke on launch shifting the rearend, bending both ladder bars......................and it was a total pain (literally) getting it apart. Now I need to find solid bushings for the front and new rear shackle bushings for the rear......................after fixing the rear..............the whole car is mostly new..................brakes, engine, trans, converter, rearend......and
the list goes on and on and on........................................soon I hope.
