Thought this was a good discussion of drum/drum, drum/disk, and disk/disk MCs. http://www.mpbrakes.com/technical-suppo ... inders.cfm I know these recommendations are ignored a lot but its good to know what the issues might be when you mix brake components.
I use a m/c from a 1990 Ranger. There are two, so get the one with the outlets on the driver side. It has a 15/16" bore' and works well with my 4 wheel discs. These are metric, so you have to do some replumbing. Hope this helps.
Wilwood Tandem Chamber Master Cylinder 260-8555-P JEGS $250 Mine has/had stock drums out back, disks up front. This works/worked great on my setup. Using stock proportion valve. A bit pricey, but you can get a little cheaper without the shine. Besides, I went through 3 stock-replacement master cylinders before I got this one that worked for more than a couple years before it went out. Firm pedal, stops on a dime. Can't wait to try it out with my new dual-piston mustang II brakes!
