Vehicle must be on level ground or service lift (NOT jacked up, NOT wheels hanging and NOT having the suspension unloaded). Wheels should support the vehicle or lift jacks should support the suspension as if the wheels are supporting it.
Figured as much. Couldn't see any other way. Typically, shouldn't it be about the right height when you purchase it? Every one I have ever installed was correct upon installation.
I did not know that. But....if the rear end is jacked up, it would throw off the measurement as well.
Compresses the front end more so than at ride height. You'd end up with shorter spacers than you need. The sway bar should be completely unloaded at ride height.
...so if the rear is higher than the front, there is no need for a sway bar being it can't be set correctly...
It should be mounted with the vehicle at its stattic ride hight. Just don tput a jack under the rear of your car and lift it up when putting a front sway bar on. This loads the front suspension more than it would be inder normal ride height.
