Now if I can track down anyone who can do that (Interctor instead of Grabber in the stripe)....that is exactly what I would do......as noted when I started this "thread", I'm finding it difficult to track down a "stripe supplier", let alone a "custom stripe" supplier. But that would be cool :thumbs2:.

I have a gentleman :Handshake(hard to get anybody to return calls, seems like alot of people out of work but not willing to work ), anyway have a gentleman who is going to install (unseen) flashing Blue, Red and White LED lights in the grill, rear section of window, visors and also have the running and driving llights flash (wig-wam) :bouncy:....this is going to be the ultimate "undercover" Police Interceptor around :thumbs2:. Having the windows tinted so you won't see the rear mounted (interior) light bar.

When I pull into the car shows and light this thing up it will be a true "eye catcher" :drive:. Thinking of putting some "dummy", blacked out exterior spot lights...not sure on that just because she looks so good I want to keep the somewhat classic car look to her. So:
    • Rear tail pan painted silver to match side stripe.
    • Hood silver stripe to match side stripe
    • Comet GT Hood Scoop mounted (painted Black)
    • Tinted Windows
    • (Hidden) Emergency - Police "take down-pursuit" LED's
    • Dual "blacked out" exterior PoPo spot lights
This will be truly "One-of-a-Kind" (y).

Now before everyone replies saying I better make sure I can do the PoPo lights....I am and have been a "Commisioned Deputy" here at home and somewhat active with the Department :burnout:. I personally know the Sheriff and he may want to use the car for local parades and car shows with our Dare Sheriff Car....so its cool (y). I just can't pull someone over while on my way back from a cruise....although that will be tempting :drive:. I mean come on, can you see someone in 2013 being pulled over by a 1975 Form Maverick ...it just makes for great conversation. Later.

Well.....if you know the Law, here in Ohio you only can be stopped (highway stop) by a "Marked" police car, e.g. lights, door, hood marking identifying it as such. Other States that is no so. So, since I am in Ohio the answer is NO, you don't have to stop. But you would be surprised as to how many would stop especially at night when they only see the "flashing Red and Blue". At one time I held the position as "Auxilary Deputy Sheriff Commander", we had nearly 50 "Auxiliary Deputies" (another name for part time officers - required to have the same training OPATA as "full time" officers, so they carried the same powers), anyway....if I was driving an "un-marked" unit, on my way to a meeting or to check out some "side jobs"., and if I ran across a concern (drunk driver - going through a red light - almost causing an accident - whatever), and I would "light-em-up" and then call for a "marked unit", most would Stop....but it would be interesting to see the reaction. Thanks for the comment. And hey, not saying I will....but if......if.....I would, I'll get in on video.....title: Ford Maverick Polic Interceptor pulls over Perp......it would be a classic.

I would think any sign shop could make up the hood decal for you.

Well you are correct. I actually have a friend who sales the material to sign shops and you bring up another "what if" or "how would that look" idea I have.

I've seen the "Engine Dress Up Kits" being offered, valve covers and air cleaners. Most are either "chrome" or "Aluminum", but I've see the "Black Carbon Fibre" kits. I think they look great and on my car would really set the engine compartment off. Currently it has the "Ford Blue" valve covers and air cleaner with the "Interceptor" stickers and I like it, looks good, but lifting the hood on that "Solid Black" ride and seing the "Carbon Black Fibre" with some additional chrome I think would look very nice. I asked my friend if he sold the material and he said Yes. That got me thinking: "where else would that carbon black fibre look good"......"rear tailight pan"?...hmmm

Thanks....going to the web site after I pour one more cup of Joe...then going out to "shovel snow", I've about had enough of this "snow" and "cold"....actually hasn't been a real bad winter, but enough that makes you want the sun and warm .....Mav's in storage, Bike's (MC) been sitting in the back garage in the cold....golf clubs still in the bag.....to many trips to the local casino just because it gets dark to soon and your sitting around with little to do .....man....bring on the summer and long days :thumbs2:.

Well, I found out again (I tracked down this site before), the Maverick Sprint "Hood Stripes" which may just work don't come in silver....the other option which is what I am going for as noted on my "original post" is the Comet GT "Hood Stripe"....... but again, nobody sales the "Hood Stripe" kit. As others noted these apparently were "painted" on ... but I find it odd that all other stripe kits (Maverick, Mustang, Comet) even the "Hood Stripes" were just that.....applied striping -decals. Are we sure the Comet GT Hood Strips was painted ? That stripe (Hood) below doesn't look like paint and I find it difficult to think that during production...they painted it on.

Well I guess that is the answer as to why no "Stripe (hood) Kits" are out there. I have a good body guy who is going to paint it on and do the same for the real tail light pan...going to match the current silver side stripes...I'll post pics when I get her done. Thanks for all the input.
