Hi all from OKC new here to the forums and just picked up my first ford its a 1976 mrec. comet, shes a beast, shes got a built 351w with a big cam mated to a c4 with a 8.8 rear 5 lug conversion and front wheel disk brakes. shes needs a little bit of body and interior work, a few holes in the body and a half rusted out drivers floor pan but other then that shes solid and rolls straight, I'm wanting and willing to learn everything about this car and the setup so im sure i will have tons of questions . Here she is
from Northeast Pennsylvania I see your dash pad is cracked - they make a preformed plastic cap that goes over your cracked pad and, from the feedback I have read from people who have used it, it is hard to tell it isn't the original pad
Thanks all! Sweet! That's really the only bad part about the interior oh and the head liner but back seat and door panels are in great shape and original and gauges all work good.. Now just need to figure out how to install ll a radio :16suspect
to the site. I got my dash cap for 89 with shipping off ebay. Looks great, didn't even use the adhesive that came with it sits snug. You could always install a hidden radio. I would do a hidden if they had one with bluetooth and android or Iphone app control support. I personally am going to remove cd player hacked up POS attempt at radio install that the last guy who owned my 1971 put in. Looks like crap and sounds even worse. I figure I can always listen to earphones if I really want a music while driving. Thanks to Bob I have kick panels to replace the ones he tore out to put in 7 inch speakers with ducktape..lol Keep me posted on what you end up doing with your radio issue
Ok will do. I have no idea on where to even start haha all I see is a big hole where I guess the radio is so posed to be? And a few wires sticking out of it.. There's also a few speakers but none are hooked up and a few are cracked.. I have hooked up tons of head units but this looks like a different ball game
