    Welcome to the Madness!!

Nicely optioned car. As you can see by my list of cars, I like Sprints, too. Good luck with the project.

    New Owner

The new owner of my Sprint called to say he's depositing payment into my account for my Sprint. It wouldn't have bothered me a bit if he said the bank had not approved the loan. Restoration was my main activity for two years and, although I purposedly didn't count, a lot of money went into it.

Its not a show car but it won several awards. It was especially fun seeing it featured in "Ford Racing". It's not a race car but 12s in the 1/4 make it a lot of fun to drive.

I firmly believe it would be my heirs, not me, that would sell the Sprint but selling it became the right thing to do. There's a new project, a '70 F100, that is taking my time, money and garage space and I'm not in a position to have big money and garage space tied up in two hobby cars.

Anyway, the car is going to a fine couple that are both VERY excited about getting it. They own and have owned multiple Mavericks but, IMHO, maybe not quite as nice as the Sprint. :D

Many thanks to everyone here who has become a friend, gave advice and info, and sold parts for the project. Thanks also for mmb.maverick.to, the best car forum I've seen.

I know how you feel letting it go. I was the same way with my Shelby Maverick. It too went to a good home, a prior Maverick owner. And he is showing it as I did. I just didnt presently have room for and my Shelby Cobra. Hopefully I'll have more garage room when I finish the Stallion and Sprint I'm working on. Good luck on your new project.

Congratulations on the sale. I've read your posts numerous times when I have been searching for a specific question. Always very helpful.

Take care Jim! Always been a pleasure and you've been a big help to me many times over. If you ever see a flat black Mav cruising around Raleigh, say hi. That'll be me :tiphat:

Thanks, everyone, for the warm responses. I really appreciate them. I'll still drop in and see what ya'll are up to.

I don't know if the new owners are members here but they are aware of the message board. Hope they'll report in when the car arrives in TX.

Good luck with the new project Jim. As others have found out you don't need a Maverick or a Comet to come and heave fun at the Gathering. You'll always be welcome there. :)

Say it isn't so!!!!!!!! Boy, Jim, I didn't know you were even thinking of selling it. Wow!! I was looking forward to seeing you again at another car function. Maybe you'll bring the F-100 to Sliver Springs one day. At any rate, good luck with all your future ventures.

I know the feeling Jim, I hated to let mine go, but couldn't get my dream of a pre 48 in that kind of shape without letting something go. If you want another good board to hang out on that's strictly FORD, go to Mustangsandmore.com. It's geared toward Mustangs, but also any Ford product. There's a few of us from here members there also, and I'm sure the owner, Steve, would be glad to have you.
