Anybody know off hand if the line threads on a 99 Ford Ranger master cylinder would be standard or metric? Got one I was thinking about using on the Lincoln if it has standard threads.....

They are metric on my 93 Ranger; If that is any indication.

That's what I was afraid of. I guess there might be some metric to standard adapter fittings out there. I could just make new lines with the metric fittings on one end and standard on the other, but I don't have the double flaring tool, and have never used one of them. Just trying to save a buck here and there and use what I've got in the stash....

I got a early '91 Ranger MC on my Falcon and it's SAE threads and 15/16" bore. The later '91-up are metric and 25mm (1.062") bore. I did have a 91 Mustang MC with 25mm bore with the plumbing on the engine side of the MC. The pedal feel was close to the same as with a 15/16" MC

I was in a similar situation when I needed to change tube nuts on pre-bent brake lines. I took them to a hydraulic shop and they did the flares with their pro dies. Beautiful job and they charged me $5 or $10 labor. I don't like adapters. :(
