I recently saw in a pro-touring forum photos of a widened camaro (fat ass) and that made me wonder how would a Maverick or Comet look. I would love some ideas and maybe get into converting mine into that. So please keep coming the pics and while you're at that why not post other muscle cars as well?

You can't post other cars, this is a Maverick / Comet forum. I don't think I've ever seen a wide bodied Maverick...

Now that is really cool - the one time the question "what rear fits in a Maverick" doesn't come up in the conversation :D

    Just checked it.
It's surprising that most of the mavs on those pics aren't widened or even flared! I guess not much mav people are into modifying the car for handling at high speeds.

Most mavericks even with big engines are not capable of cornering at high enough speed to need a wing and 18" wide front tires most likely.

are we talking on a track entering a corner at 130+?

Most people can fit 10-11" wide slicks under a maverick without cutting them up.

Well i've seen camaros, novas, chevelles, mustangs, corvairs widened, are those able to corner at high enough speeds? I always thought that all those cars handled worse than mavericks since they're heavier.:hmmm:
