Which m2 suspension is the best. Heidt ,rod and custom, full tilt? Are they all about the same except price. I'm fixing to buy one and I don't know which one to buy?

R&C is made specific to the Maverick. I have it in my car and it fit like a glove. Great guys to talk to and deal with.

I'm putting an ls1 motor in her, you think that would give me enough room to squeeze some headers in.

any of the MII type setups will allow you to customize things just about any way you choose. Some of the kits will already even have an "LS option" for mounting points given their major popularity these days.

Just don't buy it a piece at a time. I bought mine from another guy who gave up on his project, and I only got some of the parts. When I started to buy the rest, it started to get expensive with shipping and all that.

So, save up and buy the entire kit, whichever you get.

I have the rod and custom, and yes, fits like a glove.

When you order it, tell them which motor you are putting in there and they will weld in the correct mounts.

There will be plenty of room for anything you want to stab in there. Here is where I am currently.

As you already know they are a bunch of kits out there. Most of them you cut your car to fit there kit and then you buy more parts to complete your swap. The Rod & Custom kit are made to fit your car and all the parts are in the box.

Ditto on the R&C unit, very clean. Russ Selkirk has an R&C kit with an LS1 in his and is a very knowledgeable guy. I would consider him the guru for your project.

Why would you put a Chev motor in a Ford? Using a LS engine is even worse....why be like the sheep???

lol.. it's like comedy relief night around here. :D

I'd say to just install a hot little 302 if you want to put the smackdown on the 350's and 351's out there.

But if you wanna' go beat up on the big blocks?.. swap in the bigger LS motor. ;)

All aluminum, 450# fully dressed motor vs another 100# minimum on the front end for any other iron block engine. Oh, and an easy 400 RWHP with bolt-ons. :)
