power only if running...

    I'm trying to wire something in but I can't for the life of me remember where a connection is under hood that is only live when the car is running... any suggestions? thanks

    In the engine compartment right by the master cylinder, there are 3 plugs, one is used for the engine harness, some of those connections are live only while the engine is running, but you'll need a test light to figure out what ones, I don't know them specifically .

    you can pick up voltage on your solenoid on the small post labeled I this is energized when the key on
