And just in case "car nerds" sounds like a pejorative, let me assure you it is not! I have a 1974 Mercury Comet, 4 dr, green, that I luv luv luv. I bought it in 2010 in NM with 89K on it. It's in great shape (esp. the interior) - I have no doubt that the odometer was accurate. However I need some parts for it (well, just drums) which lead me to joining the forums once and for all. I've been meaning to join for a while but was a little intimidated - you peeps know your stuff! Hopefully I will post in the right threads There are a few pics of my car online: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tylerlove/tags/hal/ (The first thumbnail is a cute short my co-worker made starring my car, which I named HAL. I'm a space nerd...) Thank you for reading!
from Atlantic Canada! I know rockauto.com has drums, but they're pricey--even for rockauto. You could always ditch the drums and convert them to crown vic rear discs. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=85043&highlight=crown+discs
Thanks. And yes, there is a whole section devoted to selling, finding, and giving away parts. http://mmb.maverick.to/forumdisplay.php?f=63
Your local parts store should have the drums, fortunately it's one of the parts that are relatively available.
