I've had 4 different Mavericks over the last 12 years or so. Here's my daily driver now. A '73 with a 250 in it for gas mileage. I have a 302 I had in my first one that I took out of an '83 Crown Vic that was a police interceptor. I've had this one for 5 or 6 years and just haven't had the money to put the 302 in it.
Thanks Cyclonewill, Looks like you're about 150 miles or so west of my local. Are there many old Mavs and Comets in your area? I know of only one other Maverick in town here. When I lived in Hollister Missouri (35 miles north) there was one four door in Forsythe and a nice hopped up one in Nixa and a friend that I bought a 74 from for parts had a Comet with a 351 that he says pulls the front wheels off the ground a few inches off the line. A couple young fellas stopped by to see if I had a good grill, I don't know where they lived; but I'm not willing to part with a perfect grill for what they were wanting to pay. $20 my eye.
