I might be getting a old beat up 1972 mav in the next year and my plan when I do get it is to turn it into a nice drag car but also something that will look nice and I can put into shows in a few years, I want to completely rebuild the car/engine. any first step suggestions that I can prepare for before I get it. or even after I get it? what do you think the best engine to put in it would be? anything helps!:tiphat:

If I were building a drag Maverick, I'd notch the spring towers and put a 408 stroker in it. But there are many options for what you're wanting to do.

As for the motor, well it all depends how quick you want to be and how deep your pockets are

My money isnt as fast as i want it to be but it will come together with time. I just want some good ideas for the engine so i can get a head start on it! The 408 stroker seems prettypowerful, ill have to look into it!
