    Is it a '71 Maverick or is it a Mopa......
    As far as I know they all came with them. Don't think they were anything but plastic :confused: Never seen one covered in any thing..................

    dash tray

    Rick,
    I pulled one from a '70 Mav. It was a light brown 2dr with light brown/tan interior. The dash tray was black plastic. I think the dash tray was it until Ford decided they needed to add a glove box. With A/C the glove box sure aint much but it makes the dash look like a big car.

    I'm pretty sure all the 70-2 cars had them. They are really easy to remove, so that's probably what happened in your case.

    package tray

    I ordered 2 Comet GT's in 1973 and the 1st one in January came with the tray. The 2nd one was an April car, and it has a glove box. Both cars had A/C and were similar in the other options. The 2nd one has EVERY option, even the extra $35 for special order paint. :)
