Picked up a Comet yesterday...Lots of good parts!!

    Yes, it's a 77. Been stored for the last 15 years. I was contacted by the grandson of the guy that had owned it. His grandfather passed away 15 years ago and they've just tried to keep it up. Said he put about 500 miles on it since his gf passed away. Looks to have 91K original miles. Drives great except for the flat spotted tires. Looking for a nice tire/wheel combo for it. Gonna let the wife drive it a bit. It's a Comet so it doesn't go very fast. :)

    The wife likes it. She said you gotta get something that goes slow enough that I can drive it. She said the Maverick was too fast and I'm scared of the Cobra. She said don't put a Maverick motor in this one and let me drive it some. :rofl2:

    I'm assuming you're talking about those beautiful ultra rare body side moldings! I plan to freshen up the paint job pretty soon. I'm afraid to leave such a rare part on the car. Somebody will surely try to steal them. I think I'll put them on eBay and beat them at their own game. I'll make sure all board members know so they can bid away. :Handshake

    Come on Dave! It's a Comet! Do you actually think it would hold water long enough to be able to take a bath in it? Maybe if I use some of that spray foam and fill up all the cracks. YES! That's it!!! I could have the first USEFUL COMET!!! :biglaugh:

    Shoot trust me a Comet will definitely hold water long enough to bathe in it. Keeping water in the car is not the problem. :bath:
