Is the steering hitting the header....or the exhaust pipe?

The steering arm is hitting the exhaust coupler connected to the header ballsocket . If that makes since .

I don't see how it's gonna work unless I cut the steering arm or ? Frustrated as he'll rite now with this exhaust .

Are you talking about the pitman arm? Got any pics? Had a similar problem but my power steering cylinder was hitting my Hedmans. I modified the bracket that the cylinder piston bolts into. Slotted the mounting hole and added a 1/2"x3/4" tapered shim. I welded the shim to the bracket and bolted it back into the frame. This dropped the cylinder and moved it forward enough to provide about 3/8" clearance at the header. Also had to cut and bend the left side to provide relief for the hoses. Just have to figure out some kind of heat shield so the rubber dust boot doesn't melt!

How good / bad is the turning radius? I have the same issue (with different headers) but my alignment guy says he can give me a better turning radius with some careful tierod adjustments, my car turns really great to the left (too good actually) and not much to the right.

If you are running shorty headers....then the exhaust pipe can be bent to fit around the pitman arm. That is the advantage of shorties and why a lot of us run them.

I am also running a cable clutch, melted my first cable, went and got another and wrapped it with aluminium tape and put a section of 1" aluminium pipe over it, also rerouted it for a more straight on line through the lower part where the motor mounts bolt to and that took care of that cable getting in the way.

Craig I understand what u mean it just seems really tight at the bellhousing and the arm . When I post a pic later maybe that will help .

I think I got it now, my PC is being a pain lately...... I can tell you now that cable will melt where it is.

I was gonna put header wrap on it . U think that will stop it from melting ? What do u think about that mess ? I thought about cutting the pitman arm about a quarter or so and cutting the tab on the bellhousing some . Idk
